Jason Stern, Publisher and CEO of Luminary Publishing, a Kingston-based media company and publisher of Chronogram as well as many custom publishing titles, announced today that New York House once again joined the Luminary Publishing portfolio of magazines and media properties.
“I am thrilled that Luminary Publishing is resuming ownership of the publication we launched and nurtured until 2006,” says Stern. “We see great opportunities to serve the community of local home-owners and prospective buyers, builders and developers, architects, and real estate professionals in the Hudson Valley. Readers and advertisers can look forward to a robust on-line presence in the near-term and, eventually, a fresh treatment of the print-format New York House magazine."

Launched in 2003 to serve home-owners and home buyers in the Hudson Valley, New York House (then Upstate House) captured the zeitgeist of inspired living in the region. Going beyond a simple real estate listings publication, House defined Hudson Valley style: smart, stylish, and eco-conscious. In the intervening years new management grew the mission and enriched its editorial sensibility while extending the brand aggressively in the digital and events sphere, sponsoring green building conferences.
We at Luminary are excited and pleased to carry forward the proud tradition of editorial leadership and publishing of New York House. Even during the toughest real estate market in memory, New York House, has been a strong and effective voice for sustainability and community in the Hudson Valley. We pledge to continue the editorial vision and commitment to excellence that has been the benchmark of success at Luminary Publishing for nearly 20 years.
